Sharjah Football Club has completed its second signing for the 2024-2025 season, securing a two-year deal with Croatian defensive midfielder Darko Nejamec. This move aims to strengthen the squad in preparation for upcoming local and continental competitions.
Nejamec, 26, brings extensive experience from the Croatian league, having played for several European clubs. He has also represented his country in various age groups, including the U19 and U21 national teams, adding a valuable international dimension to his technical skills, making him a key player in midfield.
Upon his arrival early Thursday morning, Nejamec expressed his happiness at joining “The King,” stating his eagerness to perform at his best and contribute to the team’s future successes. He also thanked Sharjah’s management and coaching staff for their trust in his abilities.
This signing is part of the club’s plan to reinforce the team with players capable of competing in the ADNOC Pro League, the AFC Champions League, and other tournaments the club is participating in.
The contract signing ceremony was attended by His Excellency Khalid Al Midfa, Chairman of Sharjah Football Club, Jamal Bouhendi, Head of Professionalism and Contracts, as well as Mr. Waheed Arafat, CEO of the football company, alongside the player’s agents and representatives.
