His Excellency Mohammed Obaid Al-Hussan, Board Member of Sharjah Club, Head of Team Games Department, thanked the national coach, Abdul Hamid Ibrahim, for his wonderful journey with Sharjah Club, which spanned over 3 different periods of time, starting in 2002 and ending in 2022, during which he achieved 10 various championships with Sharjah. ,
Al-Hussan praised the distinguished period during which Hamido led the men of basketball since 2018 until now, achieving 6 important titles in the history of the club, praising the efforts of the Dean of basketball coaches at the state level, wishing him success in his next step, stressing the support of team games in the club to continue Preserve the gains and stay on the podiums.
The legend Hamido expressed his appreciation to the management, fans and members of the Sharjah Club, saying:
“My mission with Sharjah has ended, but this ancient club will remain in my heart, as I spent here the best times of my training career. I have always enjoyed the support and appreciation of everyone. I had the honor of leading the team 3 times since the 2002 season.
In the last term since 2018, our goal was clear and specific to renew the team’s blood, in parallel with reaching the podiums, winning two Gulf titles and a local league championship, two championships, the President of the State Cup, the Vice President’s Cup, as well as the Basketball Federation Cup.”
Captain Abdul Hamid Ibrahim is considered the Emirati and Gulf coach the most crowned with titles, as he managed to achieve 59 titles so far in his career with all the clubs he trained, between local, Gulf, Arab and continental, in the field of training that spanned 30 years.
