Who We Are

Core Values
- We love our club
- Sharjah is our home
- Discipline is our life
- We want to be the best
- At Sharjah we inspire
Mission
We want to become the best youth academy in the United Arab Emirates.
Football Philosophy
How we play
The formation in which we play at the Sharjah FC Youth Academy is 1:4:3:3. From this formation we make agreements about how to play and we speak of a system. We play with; one goalkeeper, two central defenders, two flank defenders, three midfielders with the point forward (10) and three strikers.
The play of the opponent makes it necessary to agree how to play ball and lost possession. The control of different playing systems is increasingly important within the education in the older teams. The (international) tournaments and competitions are good times to this playing system to test the implementation.
How we practice
To play this system, we practice Cruyff Quality (technical skills), Style of play (tactical skills) and Unique Skills (technical, tactical, physical or mental skills).
We work with a weekly schedule, a two-week schedule and a yearly schedule, so we make sure that all coaches work with the same principles and all kids qualify the same education.
Measurements
Coach Development
In our education plan we obviously have different focus points depending on the age group we are working with, everything we do related to football is made from our three pillars. As we aim to develop a team of individuals each player receives the attention he needs, to improve the best way possible. We don’t just limit our vision about the youth players to what’s happening on the pitch, but our ambition is to fully cover the definition of being a top athlete. Including subjects such as, study, nutrition, medical / performance, science etc.

Message from
the coaches
In order to develop our youth players, we need staff at the highest level. As learning never stops we have an internal Coach Education program, all staff members involved in the Youth Development process participate in this program. By providing a broad program around specific subjects we are convinced that we can influence the skills of our staff and will therefore improve the Youth Development Program we provide to our youth players.
Our Player PAthway
All our employees concerned by this matter follow the education program on the ‘’Laws of the game’’, anti-doping, integrity and anti-racism provided by the Football Association (FA)

Review & Feedback
Our performances and developments are measured by a methodological measurement system, this is divided in the following three parts
Teams
We use the ProSoccerData to measure the way we train, according to our philosophy, the team results and efforts during training sessions and/or games. The system leaves us with a detailed analysis of everything that happens on and of the field concerning the performances of our youth teams.
Club
Here we analyze the progress of our implemented processes, the current situation of the club in terms of structure, process, capacity, knowledge etc. in comparison with the European top.
We discuss the results of these analyzes in several of our meetings, bi-weekly management meeting, weekly technical meeting and our quarterly board meeting.
Players
As for our teams the ProSoccerData system not only allows us to identify what is happening at the collective level but also at the individual level, able to create a database of the performances of each player in training and during matches. We are also able to concentrate all the information necessary to obtain the best performance from each player (medical record, nutritional habits, physical and mental aptitudes etc.)
Collective and individual results are discussed with the involved bodies during the weekly technical meetings. If needed the coordinator, coach or staff member can have a discussion with a player or with a player and his parents
exercise analysis
Player’s performance
Within ProSoccerData, our measuring program and specific survey’s we can follow exactly what our players are doing and feeling; training program, training intensity, pain, hydration, sleep etc. (daily survey’s / weekly survey’s/ quarterly meetings)
