Djaniny Nets Twice as Sharjah Beat Al Bataeh in ADNOC Pro League

A goal from Caio Lucas and a brace from Jorge Djaniny helped Sharjah pull off a 3-0 home win over Al Bataeh in matchweek 20 of the ADNOC Pro League on Saturday.

The hosts wasted no time and took an early lead less than five minutes into the game when Jorge Djaniny picked the ball inside the box and brilliantly dribbled Al Bataeh’s defense, before curling the ball into the far corner of the net, to make it 1-0.

Four minutes before the two clubs headed to the dressing rooms for the break, Caio Lucas cemented his side’s lead when he was put through on goal as he kept his composure before beating the goalkeeper with a smart finish into the back of the net.

In the 72nd minute, Djaniny grabbed his brace and sealed the victory for Sharjah when he orchestrated a fine one-two with Ousmane Camara to open up a space and curled into the back of the net, to make it 3-0.

The victory means that Bani Yas sit fifth with 38 points, while Al Bataeh are 12th with 17 points.
